Blog: A Mark & A Post

Each startup is like a snowflake

12/2/2013

I woke up the other morning and tweeted this headline with a vague notion of what I wanted to write about. Ready now.

I'm so inspired about how the startup revolution is growing from a niche thing to a trend that's gaining wider media coverage. Startups are supported by a growing ecosystem around them now with lots of choices for learning, talent and support. Particularly in the cities that have been identified as startup hubs by The Startup Genome project, there are loads of options in public and private incubators, accelerators and organizations supporting startup success.

To go from the movement and trend to the micro-, the identity and needs of each startup is totally distinct from each other. But they tend to be similar in the areas requiring attention. I've got simple and easy topline solutions for helping startups develop their brands or develop a content strategy to connect with an audience. Drilling down deeper, they all end up with unique solutions. For me, the joy is in helping each startup find their brand's sweet spot, intersecting it with the market, audience trends and behaviours to help the founders develop something unique and beautiful.

Snowflake.
